When a piece of wood is cut into plank form, the moisture in the wood settles in the center of the wood. When you use the Kiln process correctly to dry the wood, the moisture that is being pumped into the Kilns will connect with the moisture on the inside of the wood and slowly remove all the moisture.
Remember that you will not see the crack initially but if you use wet wood or wood that was not properly dried, you will get into trouble with cracks. Your entire masterpiece whether it is a wooden door or a wooden window, will be messed up.
